Racing Began.
Class Racing Stable began in 1996 as Joe Masino's
vision and dream. Today, Class Racing Stable is operated by Joe Masino,
Jeff Metz and Mike O’Rourke with the purpose of transforming "The
Sport of Kings" into "The Sport of Teams." We offer the
racing enthusiast the opportunity to participate, as an owner, in the
exciting world of thoroughbred horse racing. In the past, only the very
wealthy were able to participate in the sport of thoroughbred racing as
owners. The initial cost for an individual to purchase or claim a race
horse can be a prohibitive expenditure, not to mention the monthly expenses
of training, shoeing, feeding, and veterinary bills that occur while keeping
your thoroughbred in top racing condition. Now, through a partnership
at Class Racing Stable, you can experience the benefits and thrills of
ownership, at a price one can readily afford.

Our success with RERAISE, is just one example
of the unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities we offer. We are proud
to call the 1998 Breeders' Cup Sprint winner
and 1998 Eclipse Award Champion Sprinter RERAISE our own. Included

a librarian, and a retiree.

Class Racing Stable offers the ability to "share"
the financial risks associated with thoroughbred ownership. Sharing with
other partners enhances your purchasing power and affords you the chance
to be involved with higher quality racing stock. With Class Racing Stable
you truly participate as a thoroughbred owner. Your owners license, obtained
through the California Horse Racing Board will help you maximize your
enjoyment. It gives you backstretch privileges where you can visit and
watch your horse in training. We host social events
for our Partners that will allow you to meet other owners and share in
the excitement and fun that surrounds this wonderful sport. Plus, we offer
a password-protected area on this website where you can get regular updates
on your Horse’s training and performance.

Class Racing Stable has improved its performance
for the partners each year. Class Racing Stable finished
the third quarter of 2008 with 20% winners, including 4 Graded Stakes
Winners. We were 72% with purse checks for our
partners first through fourth. This is an admirable record for any stable.
Since our inception twelve years ago, we have posted a remarkable
15% winning percentage over that period with more than 1000 horses
starting in that time. Class Racing Stable lifetime earnings for its partners
is over the $7.2 million dollar mark.

How do You get Started?
Each Partnership begins with your telephone
call or email request for more information. One of our Principals will
personally answer any remaining questions you may have, and provide you
with as much additional information as you need. From here, there are
three simple steps to becoming a Thoroughbred Owner:
1) You decide what type
of Partnership you prefer.
One of our Principals will explain the
differences and benefits of each of the various types of Partnerships:
"Claiming", "Private Purchase", "Sales",
etc.
2) You determine the amount you
would like to invest.
We have Partnerships ranging from a few
thousand dollars, up to practically any amount you can afford.
3) You select what percentage of
the horse you'd like to own.
You can choose to own anything from a small
percent, all the way up to full, 100 percent ownership.
