Why
should I invest with Class Racing Stable?
We feel that our extensive experience in
thoroughbred racing on the west coast, combined with the fact that we've
been doing this longer than most others, makes Class Racing an obvious
choice. Our communications and commitment
to honesty and integrity has earned us one of the best reputations in
this business. We are straightforward with our partners and do not get
involved in selling false hopes. This is a risky venture, but one that
offers fun, excitement and the thrills of a lifetime to everyone. Our
track record has produced over 6.5 million dollars (as of early 2008)
for our partners; plus our biggest thrill to date when we won the Breeders
Cup with Reraise. The first couple months of 2008 has produced three more
Graded/Stakes winners for our partners. We are always available for your
questions and we enjoy teaching anyone who is interested about the great
sport of thoroughbred horse racing.

Can
you tell me more about yourselves?
Joe Masino, the founder and CEO of Class Racing
Stable has over 25 years experience in the Thoroughbred industry. He began
Class Racing Stable in the latter part of 1995 and has partnered with
hundreds of new owners during this time. His vision and goals for the
future and knowledge of this great sport is what sets Class Racing apart
from all others in the business. Joe has dreams and goals of winning races
like the Breeders Cup, the Kentucky Derby and other major races for Class
Racing partners. Joe watched Reraise win the Breeders Cup for Class Racing
partners in 1998, and continues to focus on achieving the highest levels
of success that Thoroughbred racing has to offer.
Mike O' Rourke serves Class Racing Stable as Chief Financial Officer.
Thoroughbred racing interested him from an early age, and he formed his
first partnership with some friends from high school while in his early
twenties. He brings to Class Racing Stable over thirty years of business
management experience, most of that with a
Fortune 500 company.
Jeff Metz has a lifetime background
in breeding, riding and training horses. He supports CRS at all sales
(local and overseas), and with his keen eye we have found many Stakes
winners for our partnerships. Jeff will also break the majority of our
young horses in preparation for their future on the track. Jeff is a former
assistant to Dan Hendricks and Bruce Headley, and a former Champion Amateur
jockey.
Angelo Masino has joined the Class Racing staff full time. He primarily
works on charting horses for possible claims, partner communication and
overall team support. He has about 20 years of experience in the thoroughbred
industry and is a great
asset to CRS.

How
do your partnerships operate?
Class Racing Stable forms General partnerships where expenses and purse
earnings are shared with other partners on a pro rata basis based on each
partners percentage of ownership. Expenses are billed on a monthly basis
and purse-earning checks are sent out within a ten day period from when
the purse was earned. All major decisions in regards to a horse's career
are discussed in detail with all partners, with the staff at CRS making
the final decision.

What
types of partnerships do you offer?
We run the gamut as far as what type of Thoroughbred you can get involved
with. We offer claiming partnerships, yearlings, two-year-olds in training,
Pinhooking (resale for profit) and proven runners. Our partnerships offer
all investment ranges from $4,000-$100,000 and up. Through our various
contacts all over the country (and the world), Class Racing Stable only
buys the best valued Thoroughbreds that we can find.

Can
I select my own horses?
Yes. Class Racing Stable puts their partnerships together one horse at
a time. You will be contacted with information on a particular horse,
and an explaination why we like their prospects on the racetrack. It is
up to your discretion whether or not you become a partner in a particular
Thoroughbred. The only time you would put money into a "blind pool"
is while claiming a horse. With claiming partnerships, we generally raise
funds before we select and claim a racehorse. For obvious reasons related
to claiming partnerships, you would not know the exact horse that you
would be getting involved with until after the money is raised and the
claim is made.

How
risky is it to invest in a Thoroughbred racehorse?
We are very up front at Class Racing Stable and we will be the first to
tell you that racing a Thoroughbred can be a risky investment. Our primary
goal for each horse involves minimizing this risk to our partners, while
maximizing the opportunities for success on the track. Thoroughbred racing
is similar to the stock market in that the inherent risks can be managed
to provide a significant reward.

Can
you insure your horse to reduce some risk?
Insurance is one avenue that can lessen the risk involved with mortality.
Insurance companies do not insure any type of Thoroughbred injury. Each
individual partner can insure their share of their racehorse for mortality
by purchasing an insurance policy, which runs approximately 5% of the
Thoroughbred's value.

Will
I be able to get an owner's license if I become a partner
with Class Racing Stable?
Absolutely! One of the first things we do with new partners is assist
them in the process of getting their owner's license. We encourage all
of our partners to come out and enjoy their Thoroughbred purchases. Watching
your horse train and workout in the morning is a very enjoyable part of
being an owner. Your owner's license affords you backstretch privileges
where you can visit your horse, feed it carrots, and give it a pat on
the head. A California Horse Racing Board owner's license costs $150 and
is good for three years. It will also gain you admission to racetracks
and simulcast facilities throughout California.

What
are the ongoing expenses of owning a racehorse?
It costs approximately $45,000 to have a horse in training for the period
of one year. Included in that expense are charges for training, shoeing,
dental, normal vet bills, etc. That computes to about $375/month per 10%
of ownership. If and when a horse needs to be turned out to a farm for
rest or rehab the cost drops to approximately $85/month per 10%.

When
do you decide to sell a horse that I may be involved with?
You have our commitment that we will not hold on to any racehorse for
an extended period of time that does not have the ability to at least
cover expenses for the partnership. The only person who makes money on
a horse who does not earn purse money is the trainer. Class Racing Stable
and partners are owners. For that reason we promise to move on with any
horse that does not have earning potential for ourselves and the partners.

I
was always intimidated to become an owner...
is it as simple as it sounds?
It really is simple! Picture Class Racing Stable as a good friend who
has been in the Thoroughbred business for over a decade who is willing
to show you how to get involved in the great sport of Thoroughbred racing.
We're an organization that will look out for your best interest and keep
you informed of your racing holdings. It is as easy as 1...2...3. All
it takes is: 1) capital outlay to purchase a share of a horse, 2) $150
for your owner's license and 3) sign a simple multiple ownership contract.
One of the fun perks of getting involved with group ownership is meeting
other people like you who want to have fun. We have various fun get-togethers
with the partners throughout the year where we have a fun day at the races.
