Bauble Queen ran a very nice 3rd in the G2 $150K Bayakoa Stakes on Sunday, December 4th at Hollywood Park. She is now 2 for 2 for placing in graded races and continues to improve.

Surrey Star was in a good position lying 3rd before he took a wrong step and was pulled up in the G1 $250,000 Hollywood Derby. It looks like he will be okay.

Among the purchases is a Colt from the first crop of Breeders Cup Sprint Champion Midnight Lute (3 shares left) out of a black type winning Dam by Holy Bull. Also purchased was a Filly by Arch (2 shares left) sire to Class Racing’s own Stakes placed Bauble Queen. Bauble Queen ran a big closing 3rd in the G3 $100,000 Ramser Stakes going one mile on the grass on Sunday, October 16that Santa Anita. She proved she belongs at this level and the further she goes the better it should be for her. She is now Stakes placed and Graded placed in just 6 starts Congratulations to all the partners..
Class Racing Stable will have three Graded runners at Santa Anita and it’s fourth Stakes runner of the month. Surrey Star is pointing to the $150,000 G2 Oak Tree Derby on Saturday, October 15th at Santa Anita. He will be the third graded runner this month for the Class Racing Team.
Monterey Jazz ran 6th in a disappointing race in the $150,000 G2 Oak Tree Mile.
Disturbingly Hot ran 5th in her first attempt with Stakes runners at Zia Park on October 2. It’s was a $60,000 Stakes race going one mile on the dirt and she just did not get much early speed to run at with her late kick.
Monterey Jazz was back on the turf for the first time in over 15 months and ran a very good 4th in the $85,000 Brubaker Stakes. Jazz was beaten about 1 3/4 for all the money. He should be a much tighter horse next time out. Oak Tree Mile is next up for Jazz.
Bauble Queen ran a big 2nd in the $85,000 Sandy Blue Handicap going one mile on the turf. This was her first Stakes start and it was an impressive one.
Black Hills is pointing to the $100,000 Governor’s Cup going 1 1/8 on the dirt next Saturday, August 20th. Black Hills will be trying to notch his 7th lifetime Stakes win.
Surrey Star is pointing next Saturday, August 13 to the $150,000 G2 La Jolla Handicap. Star is coming off a tough neck defeat to Midnight Interlude last time out.
Oilisblackgold ran a good 4th beaten about 2 lengths for the win in the $200,000 G2 San Diego Handicap on Saturday, July 30th at Del Mar. He was only a length and a head from running second. Big run with it being only his second start back since February. Good job Oil!
Monterey Jazz will be making his comeback in the Wickerr Stakes going one mile on the turf on Wednesday, July 27th at Del Mar. Jazz has been training up a storm and looks great for his return. We hope to be looking at the G2 $200,000 Del Mar Mile later next month. Good luck to all partners and Jazz!

Monterey Jazz our G2 Strub winner is training well for his comeback and that race could be the Wickerr Stakes on Wednesday, July 27. Oilisblackgold is pointing the $200,000 G2 San Diego Handicap on Saturday, July 30. Black Hills our 6 times stakes winner is primed and ready for the $300,000 Cornhusker Handicap on Saturday, June 25th at Prairie Meadows. Tom, Joe and partners will be in attendance for the race.
Bauble Queen won like a good thing by 5 1/4 lengths on Sunday, June 12 at Hollywood Park. She was last early and just rolled past her rivals at the the top of the lane to win on a long rein at the wire in a Maiden Special race.
Wiredfortwotwenty won the Prairie Express Stakes buy 3 lengths in a fast time of 1:08 flat and notched up an amazing 106 beyer number for the race. This was his 3 Stakes win of 2011 and has now banked over $230,000 in earnings. His next start will be the $125,000 Iowa Sprint Handicap on June 24.
Class Racing is looking forwarded to a big Memorial Day weekend with 3 Stakes runners. It starts with Black Hills on Saturday, May 28th in the $60,000 Jim Rasmussen Stakes at Prairie Meadows. He just cameoff a win in the $100,000 Sunland Park Handicap last time out. Wiredfortwotwenty and Chimney Sweep close the weekend out on Monday, May 30th in the $60,000 Prairie Express Stakes at Prairie Meadows.
Surrey Star is entered as the 4-1 second choice in the $200,000 G2 American Turf at Churchill Downs on Friday, May 6th. He is in the 10th race, the race before the Kentucky Oaks. Last time out on April 10th he won the $100,000 La Puente Stakes on the turf at Santa Anita. GO STAR!
Chimney Sweep took the lead on the turn for home an won impressively in an Allowance race at Prairie Meadows. Class Racing is now 2 for 2 with wins at the new meet.
Wiredfirtwotwenty was named the 2011 Sprinter of the meet at Turf Paradise for his win in the $75,000 Phoenix Gold Cup. Black Hills was named Older / distance horse of the meet at Sunland Park for his Stakes win in the Winsham Lad Stakes and the $100,000 Sunland Park Handicap.
Disturbingly Hot rallied 4 wide into the lane and won by 3 1/4 lengths in hand at the wire. It was a very impressive win in Allowance company for her first start at Prairie Meadows.
Black Hills rolled from dead last to win the $100,000 Sunland Park Handicap geared down by 5 lengths. He chalked up his 6th stakes victory on April 17th and now has lifetime earning of almost $450,000. This also marked the 6th Stakes win for Class Racing Stable in 2011.
La Nez ran a huge closing 3rd in the $100,000 G3 La Cienegas down the hill at Santa Anita on April 9th. She was closing well to finish about 1 1/4 behind Unzip Me. La Nez earned a 93 beyer and now has earnings over $400,000.
Surrey Star won the $100,000 La Puente Stakes on the grass at Santa Anita, April 10th. He held off a late charge by our other stakes runner Major Art to win by a 1/2 length at the wire. It was a great day for Class Racing and partners running one two in the La Puente.
La Nez rallied four wide down the lane to win the $100,000 Irish O Brien at Santa Anita. La Nez our G1 place filly now has her 4th Stakes win and almost $400,000 in the bank.
Major Art rocketed home to win impressively in an Allowance race on Friday, March 18th at Santa Anita. Major Art will now move into Stakes company next time out on the turf. Major Art paid $21.00 for the win.

Surrey Star is pointing to the $250,000 G2 San Felipe Stakes on Saturday, March 12th at Santa Anita. If the big guy can run well in this spot he could just punch his ticket to the Santa Anita Derby? Good Luck to all!
Black Hills is entered on Saturday, March 5th to the $150,000 Sam Houston Maxx Gold Cup. The race is at 1 1/8th on the dirt and the entries for this Stakes will happen on March 2nd. Black Hills will be going for his 6 Stakes victory.
Wiredfortwotwenty ran away and won by 5 1/2 lengths in the $75,000 Phoenix Gold Cup. He has now won three in a row with the last two wins coming in Stakes company. He won with a mild hand ride at the end and now has lifetime earnings of $190,000.
Surrey Star is entered in the $150,000 Gr.2 San Vicente Stakes for three year olds this Sunday, February 20 at Santa Anita. Star drew the rail in a field of nine with Mike Smith in the saddle. We hope to use this as a prep for the San Felipe in a few weeks. Star ran 4th in the San Vicente.
Wiredfortwotwenty came rolling 4 wide into the stretch to win the $50,000 Budweiser Stakes going away by almost 3 lengths. This was his second win in a row at Sunland Park and his first Stakes victory.
Oilisblackgold is pointing to the $200,000 G2 Strub Stakes at Santa Anita on Saturday, February 5th. He has been training well and even though he will be a price in this race we are looking for a big run. Class Racing won this race a few years ago with Monterey Jazz.
Black Hills is heading to Florida for the $500,000 Sunshine Million Classic to be run on Saturday, January29. He is coming off a track record performance and the 1 1/8 distance should be right up his alley. Good luck to Black Hills and all partners.
La Nez is pointing to the G1 $250,000 Santa Monica Handicap on Sunday, January 30 at Santa Anita. The race is 7 furlongs on the dirt and she will try and gain her second G1 placing in this race.
Black Hills won the $50,000 Winsham Lad Stakes for the second year in a row at Sunland Park. He came from last to first to win; BREAKING THE TRACK RECORD for his fifth career Stakes win. His lifetime earnings are now nearing the $400,000 mark.
La Nez is pointing to the 6 1/2 furlongs Gr.3 $100,000 Monrovia Stakes down the hill at Santa Anita. The race is for Sunday, January 2nd.
Santa Anita: Major Art ran a good closing 4th in the $75,000 two year old Stakes race on Friday, December 31.
Sunland Park: Black Hills the 2009 New Mexico Handicap Horse of the Year made his return on December 19th. He came from far back to finish a closer 3rd in his first start in over 10-11 months. He did get tired the sixteenth but that was expected and he did came out of the race Okay.
Winsome Charm rings up his second win and five out of 8 times in the money for 2010. This hard knocking son of Silver Charm now has a lifetime earnings nearing $240,000 for us.
La Nez won the $100,000 Cal Cup Stakes race for the second consecutive year today at Hollywood Park. This was her second stakes race win of the year and now has lifetime earnings over $320,000.
Fairplex: Oilisblackgold romped by almost 5 open lengths in a Maiden Special race in only his second start.
Del Mar: La Nez came flying down the lane to win the $100,000 Fleet Treat Stakes, on Saturday, July 31. She again proved she is one of the best Cal-Bred fillies in the state.

Ruidoso Downs: Gambullette wins Allowance race almost wire to wire in game fashion in his comeback. This is his third win of the year.
Sunray Park: Yukon Bull wins as he goes 21.1 for the first quarter and finished the 4 1/2 furlongs just 2/5 of a second off the track record.
Hollywood Park: Winsome Charm got through on the rail with Joe Talamo in the saddle and fought gamely to win by a nose on Friday night. He paid a nice $22.00 for the win. Charms lifetime earnings are now just short of $200,000. Congrats to partners for an exciting win.
Ruidoso Downs: Sincity Glow took command on June 4th at the head of the lane and drew off for an easy win.
Hollywood Park: Deputy Max took the lead at the top of the lane and drew off to a 4 length victory on May 2.
Golden Gate: Monterey Jazz ran a big 2nd in the G2 $150,000 San Fransico Mile on April 24th.
Hollywood Park: La Nez ran third in the $150,000 Melair Stakes on April 24.
